In the open Dutch countryside, we realised a complete, fully maintenance-free outdoor stable featuring four spacious horse boxes and an enclosed storage area. This practical and well-considered stable solution is designed for daily use, with a strong focus on comfort, durability and efficient workflow.
The stable consists of four horse boxes measuring 3000 x 3000 mm each. These dimensions provide ample space and tranquillity for Haflingers, while keeping the overall layout clear and compact. By combining multiple horse boxes with a separate storage room, care, feeding and storage come together in one logical and highly functional setup.
Robust Construction With A Distinctive Character
The galvanised steel frame forms the solid foundation of this outdoor stable. Combined with black polymer planks, the result is a powerful and modern appearance that is completely maintenance-free. Weather, wind and intensive daily use do not affect the longevity of the structure; no painting or treatment is required.
A striking feature of this project is the roof, finished with terracotta-coloured corrugated steel panels. This warm shade is less common, yet blends beautifully with the Dutch landscape and gives the stable a distinctive identity without compromising functionality or durability.
Practical Use And Optimal Horse Comfort
All horse boxes are fitted with sliding front panels with integrated half doors. This combination ensures safe and efficient daily handling. The sliding door saves space at the front of the stable, while the half door allows controlled contact and easy feeding or working inside the box.
Each box is equipped with feed bowls and automatic drinkers, ensuring constant access to fresh water while reducing manual work for the owner. Comfort for the horse and ease of use for the caretaker go hand in hand.
Enclosed Storage For Structure And Efficiency
The enclosed storage room is a valuable addition within this configuration. Feed, bedding and equipment are stored dry and safely, directly adjacent to the horse boxes.
